Hey friends, taking a quick break from product updates, not because there aren't any, there are actually a lot, but I wanted to play quick round of HubSpot. Did you know I've got five things that I feel like are really cool in HubSpot that are easy to overlook, and I'd love for you to tell me in the comments score of one to five, how many of these did you know about? All right, here we go. So first of all, here we are on a dashboard, and the thing I want you to know is you can add things that are not reports to dashboards. Uh, you can add, uh, images, text and video in this rich text editor, or you can just embed external content from some other source. And it doesn't have to be one of these. If you have a dashboard or, or report or, or anything in any other system.
If there's a URL that goes directly to it, you can put that here and hopefully access it. Sometimes permissioning and, and privacy settings get in the way, but in general, you can embed anything in here. Um, so I have a a, a Google slide deck. I have a LinkedIn post. I even have another part of HubSpot, right? My sequences performance, I've embedded on this so I can have all my reporting in one place. So that's the first thing. You can embed stuff on dashboards. The second thing has to do with this sprocket up here. This is a button for me. It takes me to my dashboards. Um, it takes you to your homepage, which is the page you see when you first log in, and you can set that for yourself. It's customizable. So if we come over here and go to, uh, just the bottom of my, my general personal settings here, I can set my default, uh, in my, my homepage as really anything I want.
And then when I log into hubs, Slott, that's the page I'll see. And when I push the button, I'll be taken to it. Additionally, if you're setting up other users and you're using the presets tool, you can set their homepage as well. So if you create a preset, this homepage option, this is what they'll see when they first log in and anytime they click that sprocket button. And then you can assign this to, to users and teams as needed. So that's the second thing, the sprocket button. The third thing is this settings gear I use to get to the settings page. That's actually a dyna dynamic button. So if I'm on the contacts page and I click this settings button, it's going to take me to my contacts page, uh, contacts settings. If I'm, uh, on the social media, uh, builder thing and I I hit my settings, it's gonna take me to my social media settings.
Um, so if there are a lot of settings in household, there are menus and sub menus here. If you're having trouble finding something, uh, usually if you're in a particular app or tool and you hit the settings button, it will take you to the settings for that, uh, app or tool if there are any. So third thing is this settings button. Fourth thing, this one I actually just learned myself I did not know before a few days ago. Um, and we're actually gonna leave Hublot and come to a spreadsheet. When you import data, it'll look something like this. You have headers and then you have things that go in. So each one of these would be a property and these would be the values for each one. If you have text property, you're gonna have letters and numbers. If you have a number of property, you're gonna have just numbers. If you have a multiple check boxes property, so that's a property that has a pick list that you can select multiple values at a single time. They're going to be like this with, with semicolons in between. I think this is pretty commonly known. If you have more than one value,
You want want in there, um, you just separate them like this. But I get asked all the time, Kyle, I need to append things right? This bee here, right? I don't necessarily want it to replace everything that's already in there. I just want it to be added on. Well, if you just put a semicolon right here at the beginning, that means append, just like it works here, it works at the beginning. So this B will not overwrite whatever's in there. It will just be added to the list if it's not on there already. So that's the fourth thing. The final thing I wanna tell you, re regards, uh, the meetings tool. So the meetings tool let's people schedule time with you. Uh, it gives you, uh, a form sort of like this. They select a time and then they fill this form in. The thing I want you to know is this really is a form, this is a HubSpot form.
And so you get all the stuff you would expect from a HubSpot form, meaning that if you want to, to trigger a workflow based on that submission, you can totally do that. Um, so, or if you wanted to build a list or if you wanted to filter your contacts based on this submission of this thing, you can do that anywhere you use a form submission, you can use your meeting links. So if we just go to form submissions and search for, well, you can just see them all here, here are all the meeting links, right? Anytime this office visit one is, is filled out on any form or on a particular form, uh, any page or a particular page. Uh, you can trigger automation, you can add list membership, you can filter your contacts. Those are my five things I would love to hear. How many of you got five outta five? A lot of you probably, but some of you I bet did not. And I would love to hear, or if there are things you would add to this list that you think people don't know about HubSpot that they should. Thanks.
