Hi everyone. So since it's a new year, I thought it would be a good time to bring up keeping our deal pipelines healthy, clean as hygienic as possible. Um, and one of those ways that we can go about doing that inside HubSpot is have the update stage properties requirement being turned on. Um, so a really common one is either mount or close date wanting to be added along the way. Um, so what that looks like and to be able to make these edits here is, so I'm inside settings and I'm in my deals object, and then I went over into pipelines. Um, from here I'm able to see each individual stage and say, okay, when someone is qualified to buy, I wanna make sure the close date is being updated before this record, um, moves any further. So being able to set that up, I can choose to go into when I hover over the stage edit properties and this is where I'm able to make the stage, uh, make the property required to be updated and I could search through any one of my deal stages to, or deal properties to be able to add it.
So what it looks like when it's actually going through the process. So if I go back to our deals here, so I have this faux deal in here. If I move this to a different stage and the pipeline here, I'm immediately prompted with the update at close date cuz that's the only property I had in there, uh, forcing me to make a change to this property. Um, if I tried to move this deal in any other stage, it would, um, jump it. So it's considered like jumping it within, uh, the process. So we're wanting to make sure that any stage that I might wanna be moving a deal to. So if someone's able to jump and they wanna move the deal from appointment scheduled to presentation scheduled and there's a reason they might be able to jump qualified to buy, you would wanna add that closed date property, uh, requirement, uh, to be updated within each one of those stages to make sure that no one's missing that step.
