What's up everybody back again. And today I wanna talk about reports and specifically the way we format our reports in HubSpot. Uh, and to showcase this new update, uh, let's take a look at a really quick example report. I, uh, I cooked up here. Um, you might recognize this really easy just to report that showcases all the deals, uh, segmented by deal stage. And in this case, I'm looking at the, uh, weighted amount of all the deals, right? But as we're looking at that number specifically, uh, it just now says 34,000, um, and the numbers add up, but we know that it's not necessarily a number, it's a currency. So we know a currency. However, I'm not seeing it in my report. And again, if we click on it, uh, we're also not seeing the weighted amount as a currency the way it should be, right?
Um, HubSpot obviously knows this as well. So they just launched a new, uh, public beta that you can enroll in and that gives you the option to actually format the data. So if I'm switching over to a portal that has the beta activated, now you can actually see the numbers in the right context. So in this case, we're looking at, uh, a comparable report and I've just used a custom property to showcase that it actually works. Uh, because if you click on the property, you now have the option to format the data the way you want it to be displayed on the report. So you can play around with the decimals, uh, you can tell HubSpot how to handle negative numbers. Um, you can use a separator, you can display a currency. Uh, so yeah, a really small update, a really small new beta, uh, but I think really helpful for a lot of organizations. So, uh, yeah, wanted to share this quick update. Uh, as always, let me know what you think. And happy hub spotting.

This HubSpot update is a MUST for all Reporting guru's! π€―
We can finally add the correct context to the data we display in our reports!
You can now format measures in the custom report builder as a specific currency or percentage, along with controlling the display of decimal places and negative numbers.
Again one of those updates that are small but have a huuuuuuuge impact IMO.
